Popular travel blog ‘My Adventure Across the World’ places Sri Lanka centre stage

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) was able to further highlight Sri Lanka‘s unique potential as a premier global travel destination by bringing popular Italian female travel blogger Claudia Tavani to the country, under the SLTPB ‘s Travel Blogger and Influencer program.  

She runs the popular travel blog ‘My Adventure Across the World’ which has over 160,000 monthly subscribers and is one of the most engaging female travel blogs, with 11% of its audience from the United Kingdom, 5% from the United States and the remainder from many other European and American destinations. The related travel Instagram account has over 55,000 followers.

Tavani, who is a former human rights lawyer, abandoned her career to pursue her lifelong passion to travel around the world, stating: “I’m in love with the Sri Lankan people, their hospitality, culture and the beautiful nature and wildlife in this island.” 

Based on her experiences in Sri Lanka, Tavani created a series of travel blog articles, Instagram posts covering Colombo, the East Coast and the central highlands. She had the exclusive opportunity of exploring the most highlighted tourist attractions of Sri Lanka, tasting authentic cuisine and experiencing the warmth and hospitality which she received from Sri Lankans. 

She has visited over 65 countries and collaborated with many tourism boards, including Latvia Tourism, Guyana Tourism, Costa Brave Tourism, etc. Tavani undertook an 11-day journey in Sri Lanka covering Colombo, the East Coast, central highlands and southern coastal belt. She shared her experiences of Sri Lanka’s scenic locations, exotic wildlife, local food culture and lifestyle with her global travel audience.
