With 70% of the work completed on Sri Lanka’s first 7-star luxury boutique hotel project in the heart of the Knuckles mountain range in the Kandy District, Aviyana Private Chalets (Aviyana Ceylon) will open for bookings by foreign nationals in November, Aviyana Hotel Group Chairman/CEO Dr. Thisara Hewawasam said.
The hotel project is being built at an estimated cost of Rs. 8 billion investment and is expected to boost the country’s economy and tourism industry significantly.
Hewawasam said this while joining the promotional program related to the hotel project which will be ongoing at the Kandy City Centre till 20 August to coincide with the Kandy Esala Perahara festival.
This promotional program is implemented with the aim of giving the people the opportunity to become the proud owner of the first 7-star hotel project in the country, which will strengthen the process of bringing in foreign exchange to the country.
“Every person who comes to Kandy City Centre from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. can meet with an Aviana representative,” Hewawasam added.
The hotel project has been designed to blend in with the environment and offers many facilities including meditation centres, study centres related to Buddhist philosophy, local Ayurveda and yoga exercise centres, skydiving, mountain climbing, water rafting and many other activities.
