Rainforest Ecolodge wins PATA Gold 2020 Award

The Rainforest Ecolodge, an alliance comprising of leading hoteliers, clinched the PATA GOLD 2020 Award under the category of ‘Sustainability Natural Heritage,’ as announced in a virtual ceremony last morning.

Chairman Prema Cooray, jubilant after the announcement said: “We as an industry ventured on this project to showcase best practices in Eco Tourism. Enhancing the potential of Sinharaja as an Eco Tourism hub was the main goal of this initiative and we are delighted with this honour in further promoting this bio diversity hotspot to add to the rich profile of Sri Lanka’s tourism.”

The virtual awards presentation was held in Beijing, Shanghai, yesterday.
