Renowned hotelier Roshan R. Perera takes a break

After almost 40 years in the hospitality industry and working in leading hotels and managing during turbulent times, professional hotelier Roshan Perera has decided to take a break from his career.

He last served as the General Manager of NH Collection, Colombo (formerly Movenpick Hotel). In the past he served as Director/CEO at Anantaya Resorts and Spa (under LAUGFS Leisure), and Union Resorts CEO and as General Manager at The Blue Water Resort and Spa, Thilanka Hotels, and Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces. “I need more time with my family and friends. I need to travel and explore,” says Roshan. “I am also looking forward to doing my own thing even this late in life and spend time working on my ideas,” added Roshan who believes mid-fifty is the modern 40s.

In the interim, Roshan is busy developing a small beach resort on a great beach – Reef Garden Hotel, Polhena Beach, in Matara which is an affordable to all family hotel with 20 rooms, two restaurants and bars, can accommodate 300-pax banquet, two pools and a beach café “Surfside” providing sundown entertainment.
