Sri Lanka Convention Bureau participates at ICCA’s ‘Around the world in 40 minutes session’

Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) participated at the “Around the world in 40 minutes’ session” held on 27 October. The unique, online networking session was organised by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) under the Association Relations Partners Programme (ARP). The online session was under the concept of ‘Virtual trip around the world in 40 minutes’ and ARP members took the challenge to present the respective destination within two minutes.

ICCA – the International Congress and Convention Association https://www.iccaworld.org/ - is the global community and knowledge hub for the international association meetings industry. SLCB is a member of ICCA since inception and only Sri Lanka representation at the ICCA ARP Program. The ICCA’s collaborative Association Relations Partners program allows ICCA members in all regions worldwide to strengthen their relationship and increase their profile within the international association community.

In line with the ARP platform, the online networking session with associations and the destination partners were organised with the objective of providing each partner to share their USPs about the destination and the update about the country situation for international associations. There were 46 international associations under different streams attended for the session along with the 15 destination partners. SLCB connected with the destination pitch and showcased 30 second MICE video during the session.
