Sri Lanka in its journey to revive tourism to its former glory, is always on the lookout for new source markets.
With the resumption of travel between Sri Lanka and China post-COVID; we have an opportunity to expand our presence in Far East Asia.
Sri Lanka’s Honorary Consul in Mongolia Orgilmaa Doloonjin and a group of 20 delegates consisting of Mongolian Travel Agents and other key tourism decision-makers visited Sri Lanka recently for a six-day tour of Sri Lanka.
While in Sri Lanka they visited Dambulla, Sigiriya, Kandy and Weligama to familiarise themselves with some of Sri Lanka’s tourism hot spots.
Doloonjin, met with State Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasooriya to pursue possible opportunities to develop ties between the two nations. The delegation also met Sri Lanka Tourism officials for discussions related to promotional activities in the Far East.
The visit was endorsed and initiated by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in China Palitha Kohona and all ground arrangements were organised by leading destination management company Connaissance De Ceylan Ltd.
