SriLankan Airlines has successfully commenced its flights to the French capital over the weekend after a lapse of six years.
The national carrier will operate scheduled flights between Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and France’s Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) non-stop flights to France every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday using a fleet of Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The inaugural flight from Colombo to Paris left Colombo on 30 October and arrived in Paris yesterday morning at 7:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, the Sri Lankan community in Paris together with the Sri Lankan Embassy in France welcomed the Sri Lankan delegation led by Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga and SriLankan Airlines Chairman Ashok Pathirage.
