Tourism Ministry has called for support of all stakeholders to ensure continuation of tourist movement in the country, whilst assuring to facilitate essential services to tourist establishments.
“In the light of the recent developments in Sri Lanka, I wish to assure all overseas tour operators, partners and visitors that the Tourism Ministry will facilitate and try our best to assure uninterrupted supply of fuel and power to tourism establishments to ensure the continuation of tourist travel without any disruption,” Tourism Ministry Secretary S. Hettiarachchi requested the industry in a letter dated 4 April.
“We assure all local and foreign tourism partners of our support and commitment to ensure the successful delivery of the holiday experiences expected by the tourists visiting Sri Lanka over the Easter period and beyond,” it added.
The letter was also copied to the industry regulator the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) Director General.
