TripADeal, Australia’s most-awarded online travel agency Managing Director Norm Black met with Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs John Amaratunga at the Ministry of Tourism last week to discuss joint tourism promotional campaigns in Australia, in addition to their own promotional activities. TripadDeal CEO Chris Jewell, Aitken Spence Travels Ltd. Managing Director Nalin Jayasundera members of TripaDeal executive team, SLTPB Chairman Kishu Gomes and State Minister of Tourism Development Ranjith Aluvihare participated in the discussions. TripADeal generated 5,500 Aussie tourists to Sri Lanka last year, which is significantly up from a mere 250 arrivals three years back. On average, Australian tourists spend 14 days in Sri Lanka, which is very high compared to tourists from the South Asia and Asian region, who spend around six nights on average.
