US envoy discusses reviving tourism sector with Harin

US Ambassador Julie Chung recently discussed measures to revive tourism during a meeting with Minister Harin Fernando.

In a tweet, Chung said discussions included the immediate and long-term plans to revive Sri Lanka’s tourism sector and that she is interested in sharing Sri Lanka’s natural beauty and fascinating culture with more Americans. She believes that a safe and sustainable return to tourism is a key factor in reviving Sri Lanka’s economy.

“Good discussion with Harin Fernando about immediate & long-term plans to revive Sri Lanka’s tourism sector. I am eager to share Sri Lanka’s natural beauty & fascinating culture with more Americans, and believe that a safe, sustainable return to tourism is key to SL’s economic recovery,” Ambassador Chung tweet stated.
