Sri Lanka Tourism will present ‘Building Destination Image for post-COVID Tourism revival,’ a strategic level webinar targeted at industry stakeholders on 11 December at 5.30 p.m. via Zoom.

The event is presented with the aim of presenting the findings of research carried out to identify the importance of visitor perception. Sri Lanka Tourism hopes to incorporate these findings into the strategy-making mechanism in the new normal. This event would be held in partnership with the Advocata Institute who would be the official Public Policy Partner. 

The webinar hosted through zoom will commence with a presentation by Dr. Lalith Chandralal, Lecturer, Department of Marketing and Management University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Dr. Chandralal will present the findings of a national study on the importance of visitor perception. This will be followed by a panel discussion led by three leading industry experts – John Bailey, Global Tourism Communications Consultant at Global Communications Consulting; Kimarli Fernando, Chairperson of  Sri Lanka Tourism; and Damian Cook, Global Tourism Marketing Consultant and Founder and CEO of E-Tourism Frontiers.  This eminent panel will be moderated by Dileep Mudadeniya, Vice President, Marketing and Events, Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts/Head of Corporate Affairs, John Keells PLC.  

This panel would discuss the strategic path ahead for the reviving tourism in a post-COVID context. Also, participants will be able to listen to the roadmap laid out by the national tourism regulator and explore the readiness to resume operation within the new normal.
