Just the thought of the delicious treats to come at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo’s Mumbai Jig makes one’s mouth water.  Chef Rana from New Delhi has become the go-to man when it comes to Indian cuisine in Sri Lanka.  At Mumbai Jig Achaari Gosh made from the choicest mutton, Vegetarian or Murugh Dum Biriyani just oozing with flavour, Marinated Seer Medallions, Tandoor chicken and Mumtaji Paneer are yours to taste and you can even take in the aromas as the Chefs bake fresh Tandoori Roti right before you.

Authentic Indian street food, a rarity in Sri Lanka, is also on offer on Mumbai Jig nights.  The Chaat Station will serve Aloo Chaat, Channa Chaat, Mixed Chaat, Papari Chaat, Bhel Puri and Dahi Bhalle.  The combination of flavours and textures promise to delight your tastebuds whilst a chilled glass of sweet or savoury lassi or faluda will be a welcome refresher these summer nights.

Irresistible Indian sweetmeats from the dessert counter will make your workout the next day worth every kilojoule.  Juicy Gulab Jamun, rich Carrot Halwa, Pineapple Crumble, Sego Pudding and even fresh fruit provide a delicious way to end the meal.

Entertainment too will take on an Indian flavor with the DJ playing Hindi tunes and professional dancers performing hit numbers right out of Bollywood.

The Mumbai Jig takes place at the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo Terrace from the 20th to the 22nd of July.  The venue is a favourite amongst Colombo diners for its stunning view of the hotel’s pool and the Beira Lake beyond.  The night begins at 7.00pm and continues until 11.00pm.  At Rs. 1,300++++ per person, it is truly an indulgence not to be missed!  Reservations will be taken on 2491998.
