Sharjah-based Air Arabia has won the ‘Low-Cost Carrier of the Year’ award at the Aviation Business Awards 2013 held in Dubai recently.
The Aviation Business Awards recognise an airline’s commitment to providing the best quality and low cost travel solutions to its passengers, said Air Arabia in a statement.
The category recognises the top performing LCCs in the region, based on performance parameters such as financial and operational performance.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony, Group CEO Adel Ali said: “We are extremely delighted that we have managed to showcase yet another year of success and growth. That said, we will continue to expand our presence, and it is our ambition to make flying affordable for everybody.”
