Air travel ascends to new heights

HSBC credit cardholders travelling overseas throughout August 2012 can avail themselves to special travel benefits through the bank’s most recently launched ‘Blockbuster Holiday’ campaign.

Aside from several airline partner tie-ups which offer various concessions on overseas travel, the bank introduced a special buy one get one free offer on Tiger Airways that has seen airline bookings soar with many travellers looking to enjoy a scenic holiday in Singapore.   

To accommodate the inflow of travel inquiries, the promotion which was launched on 1 June 2012 has been extended until 6 August 2012 for online bookings with an extended travel period valid until 31 October 2012, enabling cardholders to enjoy the many attractions Singapore has to offer.

The concept of a buy one get one free offer on a budget airline remains a first in the credit card industry and by a bank in Sri Lanka.

Whilst this remains one of the main attractions of the current promotion, the blockbuster holiday campaign also entitles cardholders to many other savings ranging from 20% and above on Cathay Pacific Airlines, a special rewards redemption offer with SriLankan Airlines and savings on travel packages with Classic Travels, Sri Lankan Holidays, Gabo Travels, Leisure World Travels, Hemas Travels, Hayleys Travels, Mackinnons Travels and Scenic Ventures.   

Moreover, cardholders can enjoy savings at Heritance Ahungalla, Heritance Kandalama, Bandarawela Hotel, Mandira Bungalows (Plantation  Bungalows), Citrus Leisure Hikkaduwa, Dickwella Resort & Spas, Tangerine Hotel Kalutara, Royal Palms - Bentota , Jetwing Blue – Negombo, Galle Heritage Villa – Jetwing, Jetwing Era Beach, Galle and The Sands Kalutara until 31 August 2012.
