Two media outlets, The Wall Street Journal and Business Standard, report that DLF is close to finalising a deal to sell its luxury Amanresorts chain to China’s HNA Group.
The deal is reportedly worth $ 452 million and should be finalised by 15 January.
The sale will exclude New Delhi’s Aman Hotel, which DLF will retain.
Other bidders for the chain included the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah, luxury fashion group Louis Vuitton and Kingdom Holdings, which owns Four Seasons; however, word is their bids were considerably lower than what HNA, which has interests in airlines, hotels, airport management, real estate, retail and tourism, is offering.
