INArden Institute, the Educational Partner of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) in Sri Lanka, following the successful launch program of CGSP last year, will host another Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) workshop on 29 June at the Royal Colombo Golf Club for the benefit of hospitality professionals.

“With several certified CGSPs working on the frontline of the hotel industry in Sri Lanka now, and adding a new dimension to the service standards here, there is a keen interest by lots of hospitality professionals to follow this program and to become Certified Guest Service Professionals. It is for this reason that we are making this opportunity available to the employees of the hotel industry,” says Arden Institute Executive Director Nedra Wickremesinghe.

“Guest Service is thinking with your heart while using your imagination to find ways to turn the guest service you provide into a story worth remembering.” This program is useful to anyone wishing to upgrade their guest service skills to the gold standard.

The segment on Trip Advisor Reputation Management which is developed by AHLEI in partnership with TripAdvisor, provides clear information on how staff can encourage positive reviews by providing exceptional guest service and some of the topics covered include Where Do Negative Reviews Come From? Your impact on Guest Satisfaction, Asking Guests for Reviews, Review Tools, Management Responses, Taking Ownership, etc.

Top facilitator for Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) training in India and Asia for AHLEI, Gladvin Rego, is the facilitator for the GSG training workshop in Colombo. Gladvin has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and service sector and 18 have been in teaching and training. He facilitates soft skill programs in Leadership and Operational Development and conducts experiential programs in skill building.

“We are fortunate to have this partnership with Gladvin, as his expertise, knowledge and experience as a top hospitality educator is much sought-after in this region and beyond,” says Wickremesinghe.

The participants will each receive two workbooks. Those who wish to join this limited capacity personalised, interactive learning experience should register early with the Arden Institute by calling +94777 890060 or enquiring from [email protected] or www.ardeninstitute.com.
