SriLankan Airlines opens new office in Kurunegala

​SriLankan Airlines has opened a new ticket office in Kurunegala, and appointed Asliya Airlink Ltd. as its Passenger Sales Agent, to better facilitate the air travel of residents of the North western Province and adjoining areas in the Central, North central and Sabaragamuwa provinces.

This is SriLankan Airlines’ 14th ticket office in Sri Lanka. It operates its own ticket offices at Colombo’s World Trade Centre, Bandaranaike International Airport, Kandy and Galle; and has ten passenger sales offices in Aluthgama, Anuradhapura, Batticaloa, Gampaha, Hambantota, Jaffna, Kurunegala, Trincomalee, Vavuniya and Wennappuwa.

SriLankan’s Chief Commercial Officer Siva Ramachandran said: “We are pleased to bring our services to this region. The new ticket office provides all of the services of any SriLankan Airlines in real-time. It even has the complete branding, look and feel of a SriLankan office, including staff in the familiar uniform of the national carrier.”

The new ticket office in Kurunegala was declared open on Friday, 5 August by Sri Lankan Airlines General Manager Commercial Operations Dimuthu Tennakoon, General Manager Marketing Saminda Perera, Manager Sri Lanka Sanjeeva Jayatileke, Chairman of Asliya Airlink Dias Rathnayake and the Director Vimukthi Rathnayake.

The office is open to serve customers on weekdays from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It is closed on Sundays, mercantile holidays and poya holidays.
