15 April 2013 signified fruition in the air travel industry in Sri Lanka, as British Airways resumed fights to Sri Lanka after a lapse of 15 years. British Airways Chief Executive Officer Keith Williams along with his spouse and a crew of British Journalists checked into The Kingsbury Hotel on Monday.
Williams and the British journalist crew were warmly welcomed by Hayleys Group Chief Executive Officer/Chairman Mohan Pandithage together with Chief Executive Officer of The Kingsbury Otto Stohl and the hotel’s specialised staff. The British journalists were captivated by The Kingsbury’s signature features, while commenting on the outstanding facilities of the hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were delighted with the warmth and hospitality offered by the hotel and its staff. The hotel’s guests from Britain ensured a return to Sri Lanka, as well as to The Kingsbury, to enjoy a ‘timeless’ experience.
