BOI announces $ 9.8 million luxury hotel project in Wirawila

(BoI) of Sri Lanka announced the signing of a US$9.8 million agreement with K.D.U. Adventures Ltd, to set up, conduct and operate a 79 room luxury hotel and staff quarters with an envisaged investment of US$9.8 million. The Project is located in the Hambantota District coming under the Tissamaharama Divisional Secretariat, on a land extent of 10 acres adjoining the “Wirawila Tank”.

The infrastructure facilities will include 79 double rooms, two banquet halls, swimming pool, with excellent 2 acre of vegetation and a colourful spanning the entire property.

The hotel will offer many tourist attractions in the area being in close proximity to the Hambantota town as well as Wellawaya, Kataragama, Tissam-aharama, the Hamba-ntota Cricket Ground and Airport will be very close to the Udawlawa, Yala and Kumana sanctuaries as well.

The company expects to commence camping, boat riding and many other adventure activities in the near future too.
