The glistening award which was presented to Casa Colombo Collection, Colombo was the only award to a hotel from Sri Lanka, a feat that was revered by many whilst bringing pride and glory to the hospitality industry of the country.
Owner, Designer and CEO Lalin Jinasena stated, “This is yet another great achievement, and it is quite incredible that after so many years we still continue to win awards against many new hotels that are coming up all the time in Sri Lanka and the world. In a official statement released by the World Boutique Hotel Awards, “A 200 year-old mansion doesn’t sound like a likely home for a chic design hotel, and the surprises don’t stop once you arrive. Fusing old world elegance with cutting edge modern is very easy to get wrong. And yet each inch of the hotel oozes style as if it were springing up from the house’s foundations.
