Cathay Pacific has confirmed t it will make some adjustments to its Middle East network, effective from the 2014 summer schedule which commences on 30 March 2014. Flights to and from Bahrain will be increased to a daily flight with an intermediary stop at Dubai. This daily flight replaces the existing four-times-per week-flight to Bahrain with an intermediary stop at Riyadh. Riyadh will be served by a direct flight from Hong Kong five times per week. This direct flight replaces the existing daily service with intermediary stops at Bahrain or Abu Dhabi. Cathay Pacific will stop operating flights to Jeddah or Abu Dhabi from 30 March 2014. The airline said the decision had been made for “commercial reasons”. From 2 May 2014 to 20 July 2014, a temporary rerouting of the CX745 Hong Kong-Dubai-Bahrain service will be required due to a partial runway closure at Dubai International Airport for maintenance. During this period, the flight will be changed to a Hong Kong-Abu Dhabi-Bahrain routing. Alternative arrangements are also being made for passengers who have booked on this flight during this period. There is no change for the return Bahrain-Dubai-Hong Kong CX746 flight.
