Chaaya Blu hosts IODA Asian Optimist Championship

The ‘Chaaya Blu IODA Asian Optimist Championship’ was declared open on 2 June at Chaaya Blu Trincomalee in the midst of a spectacular opening ceremony.

The ceremony saw the performances by the Sri Lankan Navy which infused local tradition and culture. Representing 13 Asian countries, this year’s Championship welcomed 80 competitors in total. The guests were received at the official venue, Chaaya Blu Trincomalee, in true Sri Lankan spirit by the hotel staff.
