Cinnamon Grand bags Merit award at EU-SWITCH Asia Greening Hotels Awards 2013

Cinnamon Grand won a Merit award at the recently held EU Switch Asia Greening Hotel Awards 2013, for the second consecutive year. The awards, implemented by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and supported by the European Union, recognised hotels which have taken substantial measures in energy and water and waste management. Cinnamon Grand receiving Merit awards for two years successively stands as testament to the hotel’s commitment to achieving its sustainability objectives of reducing its carbon footprint by 10% each year, despite being Colombo’s largest 5 star city hotel property.
