Cinnamon Grand is currently hosting training sessions for eight of Sri Lanka’s top chefs who are gearing up to face the Culinary Olympics in October this year. This is also the first time that a team of chefs from different hotels is representing Sri Lanka, as one team.

The chefs, representing different hotels from all parts of Sri Lanka, are undergoing a four day culinary training at Cinnamon Grand’s signature restaurants.

“We are very keen to ensure that the culinary skills of our talented chefs, get the recognition they truly deserve. The Culinary Olympics is an ideal platform to showcase the talent base in the country,” Cinnamon Grand’s Director Catering Ranjith Morugama said.

“The training sessions are aimed at imparting and exchanging knowledge to further hone their skills so that they can master a variety of culinary methods. We are delighted to be part of this initiative and help chefs from other parts of Sri Lanka,” said Executive Chef Chaminda Liyanage.

The extensive training will be channelled to other hotels based on the requirements of the chefs.
