Creating opportunities to enhance diplomatic ties in promoting the destination, Sri Lanka Tourism promotion Bureau received a five member delegation from the Consular Corps of London at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday 11 June for a familiarisation tour in Sri Lanka.

The executive Committee members delegation will be touring in Sri Lanka from 11 to 19 June to update their knowledge about various new developments taking place in the country and to conduct several official meetings with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka Tourism promotions Bureau and Ministry of Economic Development to understand better opportunities of promoting and facilitating the destination promotion through diplomatic support.

The tour of the Consular Corps was organised by Sri Lankan High Commission in UK coordinated by Minister Counsellor Chaminda Kularathne and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau is the official host and facilitator during their stay in Sri Lanka.

Established in 1902, the Consular Corps of London is an association of all London based consul generals, Consuls, Honorary Consuls and career diplomats involved in Consular and immigration matters in the diplomatic service.
