Deal on Swiss Hotel Management Academy signed

Swiss Hotel Management Academy Ltd., Colombo, Sri Lanka, represented by its Directors Cubby Wijetunge, Anton Thevapalan and Thomas Daetwyler together with Philippe Ilg, Company Secretary Lanka Baur Holding S.A. Switzerland visited the world renowned Swiss Hotelfachschule Lucerne SHL – established in 1909 – to sign the Letter of Intent on the establishment of the first Asian campus in Sri Lanka under the name of Swiss Hotel Management Academy.

They met with the officials of the Lucerne Hotel School in Switzerland, President of the Foundation Urs Masshart, Vice President and Legal Advisor Martin Schwegler, Director Kurt Imhof, Dean of Studies Christa Augsburger and Project Director Timo Albiez to finalise the way forward and deadlines on establishing the first Asian campus to be set up in Sri Lanka. The opening of the academy is planned for 2013 September and the competence canter will become operational first half of 2013.
