‘Indonesia Invites You’ food festival kicks off

Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa was the Guest of Honour at the ‘Indonesia Invites You’ food festival launched at the Latitude Restaurant, Taj Samudra.

The Indonesian food festival will be held from 12 Friday to 21 Saturday.

A team of culinary experts from the famous Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in Indonesia has arrived in Sri Lanka for this food festival.

Parallel to this food festival, beautiful Balinese performers will entertain with their traditional dance to showcase the traditions, culture, history and mythology of Indonesia.

The Indonesian food festival is held to share Indonesia’s cultural richness and promote its tourism among the people of Sri Lanka. Indonesia relies on cultural tourism.

In addition, this will provide an opportunity to promote friendship and inter-community relations between Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
