Emirates Airline offering customers Visa checkout payment option

Emirates Airline has announced it is now accepting Visa Checkout.

Visa Checkout is currently available to Emirates Airline customers in 15 countries including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, South Africa, the UAE and the USA.

Enrolling in Visa Checkout is a simple, one-time process, taking only a few minutes. Consumers simply store their shipping and payment information in a secure account with Visa once, and they never have to re-enter it again when shopping online at all merchants globally who offer Visa Checkout.

The service solves the frustration that many online shoppers face in having to submit large amounts of information – such as their name, card numbers and billing address – each time they want to make an online purchase.

“We are delighted that Emirates Airline will now offer Visa Checkout to customers in 15 countries who wish to book air tickets online,” said Visa’s Vice President of Products for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa Paul McCrea. “For Emirates customers, Visa Checkout is quick and easy to use, particularly as they book air tickets more frequently on smaller devices like mobile phones and tablets but still want to use the payment cards they already know and trust.”

A recent study found that Visa Checkout helps ensure a browsing customer converts into a paying customer as 86% of customers enrolled with Visa Checkout completed their transactions. They were also 51% more likely to complete a transaction compared to customers who have to enter card and address information manually in the traditional online checkout path. More than 96% of Visa Checkout customers said that they felt secure when making a purchase.

Emirates to launch 7th daily flight to Bangkok

Emirates is to launch a seventh daily flight between Dubai and Bangkok.

The additional service, which will commence on 1 July and be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, will make Bangkok one of the most served destinations on the Emirates network, on par with Kuwait and Doha.

The new service joins the existing four daily A380 and two daily 777 flights that currently operate between Dubai and Bangkok, and enhances the weekly services on the route to 49, adding another 2,520 seats and up to 134 tonnes in cargo capacity per week in each direction between Bangkok and Dubai.

From 1 July, the new service operating daily as EK350 will depart Dubai at 19:50 and arrive at Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 05:10 the following day.

The return flight, EK351, will depart Bangkok at 06:35 and arrive in Dubai the same day at 09:50 from 2 July. The flight will connect seamlessly with a number of destinations in Europe such as London, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Istanbul, Madrid and Barcelona.

As with all Emirates flights, passengers on the new service will benefit from a generous baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business Class and 50 kg in First Class.
