Offers savings of 12% on First, Business & Economy Class
Emirates has announced special fares from Colombo to a number of popular destinations, in yet another illustration of its role as a global connector of people and places.
Applicable on all classes of travel, these fares reward advance purchase of seven days or more in the case of First and Business Class passengers, and 45 days or more for Economy Class travellers, the award-winning airline said.
The special fares represent a saving of 12 per cent on current fares to destinations that include London, Paris, Zurich, Milan, Rome, New York, Washington DC, Moscow and many more covering Europe, USA and Africa.
Economy Class tickets to any one of these destinations purchased between 5th June and 30th July 2014, both days inclusive, for travel between 15th September and 30th November 2014, will be covered by these special fares, starting from Rs 99,048 including taxes and surcharges.
To be eligible for the ‘early bird’ discounts and fares starting at Rs 289,288 and Rs 434,488 respectively for travel on Business and First Class to these destinations, tickets have to be purchased between 5th – 19th June 2014 for travel between 5th June and 20th July 2014.
“These fares are among the most competitive in the market to the destinations covered and for the classes of travel,” said Chandana de Silva, Emirates Area Manager Sri Lanka & Maldives. “They offer a great opportunity to sample or re-experience the premium products and services that have made Emirates one of the top brands in air travel today.”
Passengers travelling with Emirates benefit from a generous baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business Class and 50kg in First Class. Emirates’ customers will also discover gourmet-chef prepared multi-course meals, dedicated children’s menus and activities, along with ice, Emirates’ award winning entertainment system, offering up to 1,600 channels of on-demand entertainment.
Travel with Emirates also earns passengers Skywards Miles on the airline’s award-winning frequent flyer programme. Accrued Skywards Miles can be redeemed for free tickets, travel upgrades or other benefits.
Emirates has been connecting Sri Lanka to the world through its ever-expanding route network since April 1986. By end July 2014 when runway upgrade work at Dubai International Airport is completed, the airline will resume its full schedule of 34 flights a week from Colombo, comprising of 27 to Dubai and Male and a daily flight to Singapore.
