Emirates announces special visa-inclusive fare to Dubai

Emirates, a global connector of people and places, has announced a special fare for travel from Colombo to Dubai to celebrate the addition in late October, of three more weekly services on the route. Valid exclusively on flight EK655 and the return flight EK654, the special Economy Class fare of Rs. 56,340 is inclusive of the cost of a visa and all taxes and surcharges, making it one of the best value-for-money deals in the market, the airline said. Now available for purchase from the Emirates Colombo office or travel agents, the fare will be applicable for outbound travel up to 31 March 2014, encompassing the period of the 2014 Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) from 2 January to 2 February. Emirates flight EK655 initially operated three times a week between Colombo and Dubai, and was increased to six times a week on 27 October, taking the total number of Emirates flights between the two destinations to 27 a week. “This special fare is unique because it includes the visa fee, and is offered at a time when travel to Dubai is at a peak,” said Emirates Area Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Chandana de Silva. “With flights on six days of the week, there is no restriction in terms of a traveller’s itinerary. Additionally, passengers receive all the benefits of the regular fare, including Skywards Miles and Emirates’ extra-generous baggage allowances.” To enhance travellers’ DSF experience, Emirates Holidays, the airline’s tour operating arm has also unveiled great value deals on its holiday packages starting from US$ 561 per person. Also valid on EK 655 and EK 654, the starting from price includes return Economy Class airfare, airport departure tax, return airport transfers, three nights’ accommodation on twin-sharing with breakfast, room tax and service charges. Customers will also receive a free Entertainer booklet with discount vouchers presenting AED 8,000 worth of savings on dining, entertainment and activities. This DSF, Emirates Holidays has partnered with hotels and hotel apartments in beach and city locations, ranging from three to five-star – to come up with the best value offers ranging from bonus nights, to spa and massage treatments; from F&B discounts to great offers on tours and excursions. In some of the hotels, up to two children below 12 years old stay and eat free of charge. Amongst the choice accommodations Emirates Holidays has partnered with is Emirates-owned JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, the world’s tallest hotel at 355 metres. Emirates Holidays’ packages are valid for booking between now and 2 February 2014, and valid for travel between 2 January and 2 February 2014.
