Dubai-based Emirates airline has denied any plans of cutting back on its existing workforce, a Gulf News report quoting a spokesperson of the airline said.

The Dubai-based carrier was responding to media reports on Tuesday that it is laying off “dozens” of its staff to streamline its operations.

Emirates continues to hire new employees and has no immediate plans to reduce its existing workforce, the spokesperson said.

The airline, however, confirmed that it has cut back on recruitment of additional personnel, as it utilises existing human resources to maintain its operations, Gulf News said.
