Emirates Holidays gives Cinnamon Grand top billing in the city

Three time Presidential Travel and Tourism award winner and entrant into the Travel and Tourism Hall of Fame Cinnamon Grand Colombo donned yet another grand crown by becoming the only city hotel in Sri Lanka to be presented a five star rating by the prestigious Emirates Holidays. The tour operating arm of the award wining Emirates Airlines, in its annual travel publication 'A World of Choice', gave Cinnamon Grand Colombo the coveted top billing, marking it as the only hotel to gain five stars from among the other city hotels in Colombo, which were placed in the four star category. 

Cinnamon Grand Colombo now ranks among the best hotels and resorts in an extensive network of 550, earmarked by Emirates Holidays as the preferred and recommended choice for its clientele, which also features the newest tourist hot spots in the world.  

The annual publication, 'A World of Choice 2011-2012' collates a wide and diverse array of exciting holidays to over 130 destinations in 37 countries across the globe and is released to the Emirates Holidays travel hubs and international network of travel agents.  The publication, which is the result of extensive research conducted by Emirates on its products and services offered at their destinations, is a comprehensive guide to leisure, pleasure, adventure and business travelers offering a wide choice of holidays, getaways, road, train and cruise experiences.  

The accolade comes in the wake of Cinnamon Grand Colombo being named the best city hotel by LIVING magazine, the popular leisure publication of LMD, Sri Lanka's premier business magazine, based on an independent survey conducted by TNS Lanka.  With the brand assessment covering twenty attributes rated on a scale of 1 (dissatisfied) to 5 (completely satisfied), Cinnamon Grand Colombo gained a service attribute rating of 4.1, with overall service quality gaining a total of 4.5 in the LIVING rankings.  

With the 'Emirates Holidays World of Choice 2011-2012' now available for an extensive network of countries including Russia, as well as exclusive distribution in Arabic for the MENA region, Senior Vice President Emirates Holidays  Frederic Bardin says, “We believe that this year's brochure is one of the most dynamic Emirates Holidays has launched yet; growing our network with the airline's recently launched destinations, we have further added a new dimension to our offering with luxury train and cruise holidays, and a growing portfolio of boutique hotels.
