Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has signed a revised codeshare with S7 Airlines, a leading Russian airline, that will allow passengers to book flights from four Russian cities for travel to and from Abu Dhabi.
Passengers of Etihad and S7 will also be able to connect with Etihad’s daily Moscow services, a statement said.
The new codeshare cities served are: Kazan (KZN), Samara (KUF), Krasnodar (KRR) and Saint Petersburg (LED).
“The Russian regional cities are now even more accessible from Abu Dhabi and beyond on the Etihad network, thanks to the expansion of our codeshare agreement with S7 Airlines,” said James Hogan, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer.
“We view the revised partnership as a natural extension of the successful joint operations we launched in March 2010. We look forward to continuing to work with S7 to enable passengers from all over Russia to travel to Abu Dhabi and further afield,” he added.
The new codeshare is operational immediately and travellers can book tickets through travel agents and Etihad’s contact centres, the statement said.
