Fam tour for Chinese MICE operators

The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) together with SriLankan Airlines organised a familiarisation tour for a group of Chinese MICE operators (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conferences and Exhibitions). They were taken on a round tour followed by presentations of SLCB and SriLankan Airlines and B2B meetings at the Hotel School Restaurant. The round tour enabled them to assess the MICE potential especially in the incentive travel segment and the visit also help industry members establish contact with them. “The time is opportune for this visit given that Sri Lanka Tourism is presently pitching Sri Lanka to high-end visitors from China where MICE always brings up market high spenders,” said Achini Dandunnage, Senior Manager of SLCB.
