A batch of sixty unemployed youths selected from the Arugambay, Thirukkovil, Lahugala and Panama area were given a one-month training on Food & Beverage operations at Arugambay. This program was organised by the Sri Lanka Army in association with the Chamber of Tourism & Industry Sri Lanka and sponsored by the Ministry of Education at Ashruf Memorial Hall recently. Several distinguished invitees including 632 Brigade Commander Colonel P.H. Sirishanth, Chamber of Tourism & Industry President A.M. Jaufer, Pottuvil Pradesheeya Sabha Chairman M.S. Washeed, KUSP learning CEO Roshan de Lima and Major Hasitha Welikanna were present at the ceremony for awarding of certificates to trainees last week.
