Foundation stone for “Sigiriya Villa” laid

A ceremony to mark the laying of the foundation stone for “Sigiriya Villa,” a boutique hotel in Indigaswewa, Sigiriya was held recently. The hotel is fully owned and managed by Future Hotels Ltd. This eco-friendly project will provide a luxury holiday environment to its guests and is designed with 15 chalets which will include luxury comforts, quality service and an exceptional guest stay with an appreciation of all local culture. Additionally, the project will produce employment opportunities to the host community and involve the community in promoting village activities, products and cultural activities among its target markets. Sigiriya Villa is expected to be completed by 2016.
