Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa scooped the top award at the Condé Nast Traveller 14th annual Readers’ Travel Awards: The Best of the Best in the World’s Top 100, after being named Best Overseas Leisure Hotel in the Middle East, Africa & Indian Ocean.

The Resort accumulated a higher score in the prestigious awards than any other travel experience, accumulating points across ten criteria of excellence including family-friendliness and the quality of food/restaurants.

General Manager Sanjiv Hulugalle was full of admiration for his team: “They work so hard to perfect the guest experience. This award is a testament to an amazing joint effort and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who voted for us.”

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is currently hosting the inaugural Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy and is already gearing up to make 2012 its best year yet. “We’re launching a new Marine Discovery Centre, green turtle conservation and adoption programme and exciting new Night Spa concept,” says Hulugalle. “We’re constantly looking to raise the bar.”

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is one of the company’s two Maldivian resorts. Its sister property, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, was rated the best resort in the Maldives in last year’s Readers’ Travel Awards.

Readers’ questionnaires are collated and analysed by an independent market research company with The Top 100 and Best of the Best awards paying tribute to the highest scorers, irrespective of category.
