Passengers with Emirates to or from three destinations on the airline’s global network can now enjoy a break in Dubai at no additional charge.

The three destinations chosen for this offer, available up to 9th December 2010, are Dakar in Senegal and Los Angeles and Houston in the USA.

The award-winning airline has announced that passengers to or from these cities who have a transit time of between eight hours and 24 hours in Dubai will be entitled to this benefit irrespective of class of travel and fare basis. Such passengers would receive hotel accommodation, meals appropriate for the period of the stay and transport from the airport and hotel and visas applicable for the time of the stay in Dubai.

The offer is valid for passengers over 18 years of age, whose outward or return journeys are entirely on Emirates operated flights. Devika Ellepola, Emirates Sales Manager in Sri Lanka said: “There is always something new to see or experience in Dubai, and this offer provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy the destination while in transit, at no extra cost.”

Emirates launched services to Dakar in West Africa, its 105th destination, on 1st September 2010. The airline currently operates five services a week, offering the only non-stop, scheduled passenger link between Dubai and Senegal.

The airline operates two non-stop flights a day from Dubai to Los Angeles and Houston, with Boeing 777 aircraft.  All travel on Emirates earns passengers Skywards Miles from the airline’s frequent flyer programme. Emirates also offers passengers a generous baggage allowance of 30kg, 40kg and 50 kg respectively on Economy, Business and First Class.

The winner of more than 400 major international awards, Emirates operates 21 services a week between Colombo and Dubai, and daily flights to Singapore, making a total of 28 flights a week to and from Sri Lanka.
