Galadari triumphs at 23rd National Bartenders Cocktail and Flaring Competition

The Galadari Hotel secured a strong victory at the All Island Finals of the 23rd National Bartenders Cocktail and Flaring Competition 2014 organised by the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association. Young Ramiz Haja brought victory to the hotel a second time by securing his place as 1st Runner Up in the ‘Classical’ category. He had already shown his professionalism by slamming First Place in the Colombo regional awards in the same category recently. Ramiz was a hot favourite winning the hearts of the panel of judges where he successfully showcased his bartending skills with ease. Commenting proudly on his jubilant moment of victory, Ramiz stated: “I would like to take this moment to thank the General Manager of Galadari Hotel Sampath Siriwardena and the entire management of the hotel as well as the staff. It was a team effort as there were many who assisted me in my training. My guru I cannot forget to mention is Clive De Costa, Restaurants Manager – Training as well as Kavinda Rankothdevella – Manager Training, without whom I would not be where I am today.”
