Global adventure travel firm adds Sri Lanka as new destination

Trailblazing small group adventure company G Adventures, launched its expanded 2013 line-up of 730 trips, which includes tours to 12 new countries as disparate as West Africa and Eastern Europe.

The countries G Adventures will visit for the first time in 2013 are: Albania, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Iceland, Montenegro, New Zealand, Scotland, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and Sweden.

New trip itineraries for 2013 include:

Departing from and returning to Freetown, the 10-day Sierra Leone uncovered trip gives travellers the opportunity to experience life in a village, taste local cuisine, trek through the rainforest looking for monkeys and to explore historic Freetown. Priced from GBP1,499 per person for departures in November and December 2013.

A 14-day Cultural Sri Lanka trip travelling from Negombo to Colombo sees travellers visit an elephant sanctuary, watch stilt fishermen in Galle, gain insight into the national heritage at a tea plantation and relax on pristine beaches. Priced from GBP1,279 per person for departures in March and April, and from September to December 2013. This trip was also designed by one of G Adventures’ Chief Executive Officers.

The 15-day Croatia and the Balkans itinerary travels through Serbia on its route from Budapest to Split where it visits the capital of Belgrade, also known as the ‘White City’. This trip also visits the new G Adventures’ destinations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia.
