Grand recognition for star associates of Cinnamon Grand Colombo

Cinnamon Grand Colombo recognised and rewarded associates at the hotel’s Associates Meeting held at the Oak Room on Friday 27 March.

The final meeting for the year 2014/2015 saw 22 individuals and three teams being commended for their exemplary performance in ensuring that Cinnamon Grand remains a leader in not only the hospitality industry but also a leader in the country’s top business portfolio. The awards were presented by Cinnamon Hotels in the City Sector Head and Cinnamon Grand Colombo General Manager Rohan Karr. Team awards went to PMS Team consisting of S. Tissera, L.D. Steinwall, O.V.D.A. Weerasena and D.S. Perera for the smooth transition in establishing the new hotel operation system with policies and procedures in place; to the Fire Training Team made up of E.N.P. Zoysa, H.A.K.P.S. Perera, I.R.A.K. Liyanage and P.G.P.S. Kumara who developed an effective fire training manual voluntarily and trained 1,000 associates during the past year; and to the Flower Room Team P.A.N. Jayasundara, D.L.W.S. Lakmali, J.A.D.R. Yohan, W.D.M.C. Perera, R.M. Karunadasa and M.A.A.P. Jayampathi headed by A.T.H.D. Pinto for beautifying the hotel with their creativity. Associates of the Year 2014/2015 Awards were won by Shiran Tissera (IT), A. Samantha (Front office), A.L.C. Karunathunga (Housekeeping), Menaka Balasuriya (Reservations), Clifford David (Banquets), Dammika Liyanage (F&B), D.M.R. Dissanayake (Gardens), Dilmini Kulathilake (Sales), G.H.T.D. Dananjaya (Recereation), Hasanka Wijesesinghe (Training), H.L. Pathiraja (Engineering), Carlo Rasiah (Purchasing), K. Dhanushan (Banquet Opeartions), K.A.D.I. Pushpakumara (Laundry), M.A.D.U. Priyantha (Kitchen), M.W.D.P. Kularathne (Banquet Operations), P.T.R. Madusanka (Angsana), Shehan Mendis (Marketing Communications), Supun Fernando (Human Resources), Randhika Perera (F&B), Liza Fernando (F&B) and J.M.M.S. Jayalath (Kitchen Stewarding).
