All Gulf Air flights, with the exception of flights to and from Iran and Iraq, are operating as normal, a travel alert from the airline said.

All flights between Bahrain and Iran have been cancelled up to and including Sunday (20 March) and flights from 21 March are scheduled to operate normally, it said.

Flights between Bahrain and Iraq had been cancelled up to Thursday (17 March) and from Friday they are scheduled to operate normally, the airline said.

It requested passengers departing from Bahrain International Airport to allow themselves extra travel time to reach the airport for check in. Check-in counters close on-time and flights will depart on-time, it said.

“For those wishing to travel to/from Iran/Iraq and who are affected by a cancelled Gulf Air flight, Gulf Air will endeavour, where possible, to transfer the booking/ticket to an alternative available airline for the same/next day travel to the same destination in the same class of travel,” it said.

Currently, the downtown Gulf Air sales offices in Manama and Seef Mall are temporarily closed. The Ticket Office at Bahrain International Airport remains open 24 hours.
