Manama, Bahrain: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in its continuous efforts towards providing enhanced travel experience to passengers, has introduced a new online solution that offers end-to-end check-in and departure services for customers.
The new Advanced Check-in System International (ACSI) will make the passengers’ online self-service experience in reservation, booking, e-ticketing and web check-in procedures much easier and smoother. Customers can now enjoy a variety of value added services such as automatic flow of seat preferences, special service request, travel document information and onward journey details with precision and ease – all from the comfort of one’s home or office.
In addition to the benefits it offers to customers, the new robust platform also benefits airlines; it fully supports check-in, boarding and load control functions, offers enhanced passenger recognition and service and promotes operational efficiency, thus saving time and money. It also acts as the single source of data for all flight schedules, providing real-time updates to passenger and inventory. Dr. Jassim Haji, Gulf Air Acting Director, Information Technology said, “Travellers these days have become very time conscious, who would like to spend less time at airports on check in and departure procedures. In response to this, Gulf Air has been simplifying these processes by introducing several technological advancements. The new ACSI system is the latest offering to our customers.”
Gulf Air resumes flights to Lebanon
Manama: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain announced it will resume its flights between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Lebanon from 12 June. Gulf Air CEO Samer Majali said, “We are delighted to be able to resume our flights to Beirut; this is great news for our customers, Beirut has always been a popular destination on our network.” The airline will recommence its operations to Beirut with a daily flight and increase the frequency in response to passenger demand.
