Harpo’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Galle 1st and 2nd batches receive certificates

Harpo’s Hotel School Galle, is an extended satellite branch of Harpo’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Two batches of students who completed the certificate program in F& B Service received their certificates recently from MD Harpo Gooneratne.

“This foundation Certificate course in Food and Beverage service has given them the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge in the Food and Beverage operation and it’s encouraging to note  that these students  have come down to Colombo from Galle, Matara and Tangalle areas  and are busy applying their newly acquired knowledge and gaining valuable experience in the trade,” Gooneratne commented.

They will be obtaining their industrial training with employment at Harpo’s Café’s & Restaurants namely The Bay leaf, The Commons, Park Street Mews and Colombo Fort café’. The school has taken two more batches in Galle, who are presently undergoing hospitality training in Food Production, Culinary Arts, International Cookery( 1st Batch) and Food and Beverage service.

The students will have the option to receive an International certification from City & Guilds -UK and for candidates looking to obtain a Diploma in Hospitality Management, the school also offers the Princeton Hotel Management Diploma from Australia.

Director of the school Asoka Jayawardena, Director Hiran Serasinghe and Galle Branch Course Coordinator Ashan Mendis also attended the presentation.
