Helanka organises Force 2015 for the first time in Sri Lanka

Helanka Vacations MICE division (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) organised a very successful conference on behalf of the Freight Organization of Related Cargo Experts (FORCE). 

FORCE Congress 2015, an annual congress held for the first time in Sri Lanka in April, giving a truly Sri Lankan experience to the 45 delegates, from 33 countries who attended the AGM/congress this year. 

The Helanka team was much applauded for the excellent organisation and smooth, totally hassle free execution of the conference and related events. A welcome cocktail, a truly Sri Lankan theme night including showcasing of the rich culture of dance and drums which the delegates enjoyed were among the many events organised. 

Promoting the handloom and handicraft industries, Helanka gave all who attended handloom shirts to wear for this occasion and a tour of a typical village atmosphere with craftsmen showing their expert craftsmanship. The spouses who accompanied the delegates were not forgotten and an enjoyable river cruise, a Sri Lankan cooking experience and of course what ladies love most, shopping expeditions of varied interest were organised for them.

The grand finale to the whole event was the gala dinner and awards ceremony organised by Helanka. The California Grill was transformed in to a venue of total FORCE ambiance and comradeship which was felt and appreciated by all who were present. Many of the delegates also took some time off to explore the wonders of Sri Lanka visiting Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ancient Ruins, UNESCO Heritage wilderness and sites, the beaches, the many wonders Sri Lanka has to offer visitors.

All who came said they would be back and FORCE said they would definitely come for another conference in Sri Lanka.
