Controlling air conditioning, lighting from the front or service desk, different configuration of lighting for different moods, different personality identification with intelligent card holder, switching off un-used lighting and air conditioning with motion sensors, centrally monitoring the equipment and alarms can be set for anomalies, historical data on the functionalities in the guest room. Checkout, Wait and DND function from within the room. In addition to the above functionalities it also creates a rich ambiance inside the guest room.

Chameleon android application runs on an android phone or a tab. The guest can use the application to check the availability and status of the room once he books the room. The application allows the hotel to function as a total paperless environment.

The leisure sector is one of the most thriving sectors in the global economy. As such, the sector faces many challenges in the areas of customer retention, increasing service demands, global competition etc. Therefore it is vital for an organisation to increase its service levels while introducing new value added services which will lead to customer retention. Chameleon does just this.

Chameleon is the platform that provides a guest with a single touch point from which to access in-house entertainment, food and beverage requirements, communication, room controls and access to various other in-house services. It is guaranteed to satisfy the most demanding modern travellers.

iPhonik Ltd., CEO and Director Suresh Dep said that the need for developing a solution locally such as Chameleon was thought of after having evaluated the significant growth potential in the Hospitality Industry.

Hotels now need to differentiate themselves in order to attract guest while generating additional revenue. Having developed the full product suite we are now exploring overseas markets such as Maldives, Mauritius, Thailand and Bangladesh. We are further proud to inform you that iPhonik was also the recipient of the Spiralation grant for technology start-ups through the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka in order to develop such a solution.
