KLM to codeshare with Etihad Airways on flights to Australia

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has expanded its offerings from Australia, introducing codeshare departures on Etihad Airways flights to and from Sydney and Melbourne to Amsterdam via Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

The services, part of a new global partnership between the Air France - KLM Group and Etihad, enable passengers to connect in Abu Dhabi with onward KLM services to Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, and beyond on the carrier’s extensive European network.

Passengers and travel agents in Australia can now book seats on the new KLM / Etihad codeshare flights with immediate effect. They can also obtain seat allocation and check their luggage all the way to their end destination in Europe.

Flight KL3937, operated by Etihad, departs Sydney every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 15:55 and arrives into Abu Dhabi Airport at 23:40.

This connects with KLM flight KL438, departing from Abu Dhabi at 01:45 and arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport at 06:05 the next day.

Members of the Air France - KLM loyalty programme, Flying Blue, also can accrue loyalty points when booking KLM tickets on the Etihad-operated flights.
