Kuwait Airways Colombo in joint promotion with Sabre Travel Network

Kuwait Airways, the National Carrier of the State of Kuwait, has joined hands with Sabre Travel Network Sri Lanka to run a joint airline promotion for all Sabre-connected travel agents in Sri Lanka. 

Sudesh Rupasinghe, District Sales Manager, Kuwait Airways and Sanjika Perera, Country Manager for Sabre Travel Network Sri Lanka, officially inaugurated the promotion at the Kuwait Airways Colombo Town office on 20 November.

The promotion will recognise agents driving new bookings on Kuwait Airways, with weekly prizes for the agent recording the highest number of bookings through the GDS [Global Distribution System]. At the end of the promotion, which runs until 22 December, a grand prize winner will be selected to win a free round trip air ticket based on overall performance throughout the promotion.

The collaboration between the airline and Sabre, a global GDS provider, will help raise awareness of Kuwait Airways flights and fares amongst travel agents in Sri Lanka. Feedback from travel agents in the market so far has been positive and participation from Sabre users is expected to be high. 

Rupasinghe said: “In the time that KAC is developing and enhancing the product, we are pleased to join hands with the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, Sabre Travel Network Sri Lanka, for the promotion. Hope this will create mutual benefit for both organisation.”
