Malaysia Airlines unveils fresh group tour to China for Lankans

Malaysia Airlines has announced a fresh group tour to two popular Chinese cities Shanghai and Beijing for the benefit of Sri Lankans seeking an exciting holiday in June.

The airline said that the group tour departs on 18 June for a six night-seven day holiday starting from Beijing and ending up at Shanghai.

The tour package includes return air tickets to China on Malaysian Airlines, three nights at four-star Holiday Inn Express Temple of Heaven in Beijing on full board basis and three nights at four-star Shanghai Holiday Inn Express Putuo Hotel on full board basis.

Beijing to Shanghai will be via high speed bullet train and the tour includes a range of sightseeing in Beijing and Shanghai. Additionally air conditioned coach transfer, visa fees to China and an English speaking guide in China are included in the package. The Lankan tour group will be accompanied by a tour coordinator from Malaysia Airlines.

In Beijing which will be from 18 to 21 June, visits include Badaling section of the Great Wall, Jade Factory, Summer Palace, Olympic Green Park, Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. On Day three visits to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven have been lined up along with shopping in the Silk Street. On Day four in Beijing visits to Panda Garden and Linguang Temple will be undertaken before taking the transfer to Shanghai via the bullet train.

In Shanghai (from 22 to 24 June) the Lankan tourists can visit the New Pudong area, the Yu Garden and do shopping at Yu Bazaar. On Day six, a visit to Jade Buddha Temple is on offer along with shopping opportunities. A highlight will be a dinner cruise on the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Day seven includes visit to Shanghai Museum and People’s Square prior to transfer by magnetic train to the Shanghai Airport to depart to Colombo.
