Malaysian Airlines enhances customer experience with premium service

Malaysia Airlines has appointed Dr. Ron Georgiou MW (Master of Wine) as an exclusive wine consultant to recommend premium world-class wine experience to its esteemed customers. As one of only 299 Masters of Wine in the world, Dr. Ron Georgiou’s expertise and passion for excellence is reflected in his unique wine selections for Malaysia’s national carrier.

“My guiding vision is to make wine a multi-sensory experience that moves beyond taste and aroma to one’s heart, spirit and mind” said Dr. Ron Georgiou. “My concepts are holistic, ensuring an elegant integration of the wine-dine experience,” he added.

Malaysia Airlines is now serving a new selection of premium wine and champagne labels from France, Germany, Spain, Australia and Portugal which are known for their great class and elegance.

This service is part of the airline’s continued efforts to position itself as the preferred premium carrier of Asia. The top-class premium wine is offered to First Class passengers on the London, Amsterdam and Sydney routes as well as Business class customers on all the airline’s international routes.

Customers on First class can look forward to an excellent list of red and white wines such as Dom Pérignon 2002 champagne, Chateau Léoville Poyferré Grand Cru red Bordeaux and Frédéric Magnien Meursault white Burgundy.

Business class customers will also take pleasure in being served an international selection of champagne, Rieslings and Chardonnays, and a variety of Old & New World reds. Each pouring is also paired with suitable food choices to ensure maximum satisfaction.

Through an in-flight survey carried out by Malaysia Airlines, feedback from customers is extremely positive. Many remarked that the exquisite taste of the wines enhanced their travel on Malaysia Airlines and enabled them to relax easily on their flights.

Feedback from the survey shows that many are delighted with the food pairing that goes extremely well with their wine and champagne. Non-Muslim cabin crew of Malaysia Airlines are also trained to provide expert suggestions to the airline’s customers.
